Thanks to Vic R. of Winston-Salem, North Carolina for this suggestion.

  • Yes with regard to when a customer makes a payment using one of the third party payment providers including Western Union, the Website Payment Provider, or the Automated Phone Payment Hotline or the Live Payment Center, Pay Tel is notified of the payment immediately.
  • If Customer sends payment by MoneyGram, Pay Tel is notified within two hours.
  • The moment we get notification of a payment, we post the information on our Automated Customer Service Phone System (1-800-729-8355) where you can check your balance.
  • This information is then transferred to the equipment at each facility.  Depending on the facility, the blocks are released immediately or may take up to four hours in some facilities.

It is our goal to shorten this process at every opportunity.
