Pay Tel began operating in 1986, providing payphone service to clients throughout the southeastern United States. In 1989, Pay Tel introduced inmate telephone service and, over the next decade, grew to become the market-dominant provider to confinement facilities in the Southeast. Building on our strong client base, Pay Tel has expanded operations to offer service nationwide. Our dedicated Development Team strives to deliver continuous innovation through our CenturionITS™ platform which offers seamless integration with the industry’s most effective investigative tools.
Pay Tel Communications offers multiple secure communications options for inmates, ranging from phone calls to messaging and video visitation together with advanced control features and investigative tools for confinement facilities. Pay Tel recently expanded our product line to include inmate tablets. This powerful tool provides educational and life skills courses and content at no cost to inmates. Each individual begins with a Risk/Needs Assessment which then provides a personalized Pathway to Achieve™ course recommendation. Pay Tel’s ultimate goal is to improve outcomes for released inmates and, in doing so, benefit the communities in which they live. Our in-house learning development team continues to partner with recognized industry leaders in inmate education and rehabilitation to deliver a robust product with content options to address every need.
Pay Tel further supports our community through the reentry website www.Rise4Me.com which provides a current listing of local, regional and national resources for returning citizens and their families in many of the counties that we serve. From food and housing to child care and addiction treatment and recovery, Rise4Me provides a consolidated collection of verified resources to help returning citizens make a successful transition following release from detention.
